Updated from 10.04 tonight. After a few hours of use, noticed numlock
turning off and on as if my keyboard was shorting. Confirmed gnome-
settings-daemon consuming 150% cpu. I had been using Chrome,
Calculator, and Image Viewer. Killing gnome-settings-daemon returned
normal use of numlock, but

I had exactly the same problem, on ubuntu12.04, with
cups-1.5.3-0ubuntu4,
then I downgraded to 1.5.2- through synaptic manager.

I'm on VMware Workstation 8 and 9. Not tested on physical machine.
I'm having this issue since Alpha 1, but I always waited for a fix...
till now.
The first boot is fine (not always), but when I reboot or reset the VM,
the bug appears.
