I have the same problem with my E530. Also, if I adjust the brightness
through display settings, it does not remember them next time I boot.
It makes a significant difference to the battery life, so it would be

yesterday I received xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.21.6+git20130514 for
quantal branch, which is used by Mint 14. Raring packages seemed to be
released earlier, which explains why I couldn't see the updates.

root cause semms to be within gnome-online-accounts (backend) rather
than evolution (used as frontend), as gnome-online-accounts fails to
store proper credentials, a temporary workaround is to remove the online
account and create it again

Empathy is not working behind the proxy servers
I am experiencing the same issue after installing 13.04, and also could
not get the workaround working. I continually get prompted for the
password, and can confirm this was working in 12.10. Unsure what debug
logging would be useful, but here is the error in my syslog:
