with pavucontrol.
I removed ~/.pulse/ and haven't had the same problem anymore. As always,

Here's why this happens btw. The backend packages are just meta
packages right now that install the needed dependencies for the various
backends. Deja Dup itself looks directly for the dependencies.
Personally, as both upstream maintainer and Ubuntu packager, I don't
think this is a big deal,
It seems that installing the latest beta fglrx driver (amd-
catalyst-14.1-betav1.3) from ATI solves this

I use xserver-xorg-video-radeon (on a Radeon HD 5770) , so far without
problems. After the upgrade to xserver-xorg 1.15 kwin wasn't able to switch to
it's OpenGL backend anymore and used XRender instead. kwin isn't very
informative why GL failed, however running glxinfo
This i had today with an VM (Xubuntu 14.04 alpha2; Fx 26.0)
Very strange is, that the VM was shut down and after rebooting i coul
not open up FX cause an instance was running...

Be more specific. The Xorg log does not show any issues (other than the
fact that you're using a third-party driver from oibaf's PPA that isn't
supported by a bug report on this site...).
