To be honest, I have given up on this fault. In the meantime I installed
a 3.11.0-19-generic kernel for Ubuntu 12.04. The ill corner is still
there, but beyond its visual appearance it does not hinder anything.
This problem appeared for me on Ubuntu Trusty with a GMail account
created using Gnome Online Accounts. The same account worked flawlessly
on previous version of Evolution.

Me and a friend, both running Kubuntu 13.10 and now 14.04 (64-bit) are
hitting this issue.
I want to spread KDE and LibreOffice, but this diminishes the perception
that Linux is better than the alternatives. I don't have the coding
skills to fix this, but I hope the author can repair this sooner
I found a way to reproduce this specific bug at least.
Run xorg-server in valgrind to slow it down, hammer on the touchpad like
an idiot and the touchpad buttons too. Run chvt 1 to switch away but
keep hammering. Observe instant crash. :)

1- go to about:config and set ui.use_unity_menubar to false
2- right click on the menu bar and tick Menus bar
3- set back ui.use_unity_menubar to true in about:config

I found a quick fix. In the general libreoffice options there you can
define user specific colors. I activated this for the table borders and
now the tables are displayed with borders visible. Don't know why this
is necessary.

My comment #41 above does not fully apply. It turned out that removing
iwlwifi from SUSPEND_MODULES= in /etc/pm/config.d/config (I had to
add it in 13.10 in order to get it working) fixed the issue for me.
However this seems to imply that unloading the driver will break wifi,
even if
After 14.04 release, I've updated the distro and I don't have this problem
anymore, with stock and custom kernel.
It seems like some people are still affected by this bug.

Chromium scales correctly on start up based on the setting applied to
Scale for menu and title bars in Display Settings.
However, ideally, Chromium should watch this setting also at runtime and
scale if it gets modified, as the GTK applications currently do.

This is not caused by the nvidia-prime package. The gpu-manager (ubuntu-
