Recently, there have been some library updates which also included
xserver-xorg-core
I have been observing my machine since, and the problem of fans running
constantly has vanished, atleast for now.

i'm now mainly using Vivid i386 gnome-shell all the days long. So
chromium 39 is the vivid package, and it still has 'sometimes' that

-I use Evolution since 14.04. it didn't appear in 14.04. It started appearing
when updating to 14.10.

What I can add with this strange behaviour, that if I use pattern that
should work for many files - it will always mark the same file.

xterm freezes sometimes. this never happened before trusty. under
trusty it's happening maybe two or three times a month, usually shortly
after i've booted and logged in and am launching things. i can startup
a new xterm which works fine, while the frozen one stays frozen,
I concur with Max Barry. I too have the same issue. I wonder if Max
has attempted to copy data to the phone? I am able to use Banshee to
copy tracks across but they cannot yet be recognised by the phone! It's
bound to be a small coding issue as the phone is mounted, tracks can be
copied - yet
