desktop session, switch to a text virtual terminal by pressing control +
alt + f1, logging in there, and moving the pulseaudio config like so:

scanning resolved it, by adding a .conf file to
/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/ containing:

A relevant question: Why does this only affect usb wifi dongles? My
