file -- it needs to be analysed by the automatic upload procedure of

I can't seem to reproduce the problem yet.
Waking the screen with Shift works, but does not dismiss the lock
screen. The lock screen only goes away after I start typing a

Sounds like this might be tied to apps that disable the screensaver...?
An alternative (and expensive but much more accurate) way to reduce blue
light is to calibrate your screen for a warmer (lower) colour
temperature. You would need to get a colorometer though, like

Here is an update to my simple and "unnecessary" script to fix .deb
packages so they install correctly. This version adds moving the
installation of the libraries from /usr/lib/sane to /usr/lib/x86_64
-linux-gnu/sane. Should work well with most Epson driver .deb's, not
sure about others.

-I can boot in command line mode. It seems stable.
-I can then startx, I get an xsession desktop with my desktops files, but no
launcher nor upper bar. And still no mouse keyboard input.
-I tried booting with kernels 4.0.35 to 4.0.37 no difference.

I am not certain if my crash is the same as this bug, but this seems
most likely the same issue that I see when I attempt to lock my session.
Upon locking the session it immediately crashes gnome-shell. I am using
an Intel NUC.
My dmesg reports:
gnome-shell[17362]: segfault at 38 ip
Bought the device some days ago. Had no chance to test earlier Ubuntu
releases.

Issue seems to disappear when pulseaudio default sample rate is set to
48000 instead of 44100.
Speaker test with sample rate of 44100 produces no sound.
Don't know why as device is supposed to accept both sample rates.
