Whoops, sorry, just noticed that it was related to Padoka's PPA, might be a few days old (I'm currently testing stuff to identify an issue with Mesa). I assume it's an issue with the PPA, bug report can likely be closed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop

Public bug reported: Got this error randomly after an upgrade (not sure if it was after adding the Ubuntu-x-swat PPA or because of a previous upgrade of Mesa from the Ubuntu repos). Looks like there's a package issue with two xorg packages (ati and radeon) having a common config file. Using

Same for me with Ubuntu MATE 17.04 → 17.10 (final, not beta). The dialog appeared multiple times and at the end of the process I got a message saying that the upgrade failed. I tried to finalize it with sudo dpkg --configure -a and sudo apt-get install, tried to force a reinstall of this package

Just made another test: I installed Steam and Faeria on my old laptop which has a nVidia GPU. I haven't installed the proprietary driver yet, so I'm on Mesa with Nouveau. Faeria works. I haven't tried Payday 2, as the required config is far too high for this PC. Specs: - desktop: Ubuntu MATE

After adding Oibaf's (Mesa devel 17.1.x) and/or Padoka's (Mesa stable 17.0.4) PPA, I still had to manually install libgles1-mesa (which they package) to fix the issues in both games. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mesa
