Should we file separate bugs for other applications affected like
epiphany? Pretty sure the underlying cause lies in some common component
but workarounds might be different. Disabling javascript in epiphany
should bring back the old login window but the UI for that was removed
years ago (because
This was fixed a long time ago.

I don't think the link to gnome-bugs #168304 is correct. That's about

This is still an issue with compiz and mutter but I think those are separate
bugs. AFAIK the compiz issue is not going to be fixed upstream while the mutter
one is being worked on.

Looking more carefully at tha bug description it does not seem to be
metacity-only since compiz also uses metacity themes.
Indeed this is still an issue with the default window manager (compiz) and I
can't find a bug more specific to it.

It seems like Nautilus used binary units (MiB) before but switched to
decimal units (MB) in Oneiric. Some translations (e.g. spanish) still
use MiB though, so the number and the units do not match in the
translated nautilus. So not a nautilus bug but a translation one.

I know and I do not expect random applications (or nautilus in
particular) to work well with sudo, gksudo or gksu. But there is a
package nautilus-gksu in main and people install it and then nautilus do
not work as expected. Maybe the bug is in nautilus-gksu?
