Yes, indeed, I think that may be it(new alsa config panel). They added boxes
and the way it works and it seems NOW that if I unplug headphones, and boot,
then go to settings/sound:
set system vol to full
set output device to "speakers-builtin audio"
set configuration to "analog stereo output"
Hardware spec sheet as well as Win7 claim the Realtek codec is ALC3202.
Apparently Ubuntu is seeing it as ALC269VC.

just took update and now does not recognize soundcard or something plugged in
to headphones jack. pulled bug. Now if I unplug headphones and plug back in, it

Enabling deep sleep results into failure:

Issue details:
In my daily work I have to deal with CSV and other form of spread sheets that
have lengthy texts as the cell
Sorry, this is so old that I've forgotten what it was about and the
circumstances. Also, I never understood the issues. I have since upgraded
to 18.04 and then to 18.04.1. I've also gotten out of the habit of
reporting such things. I will start reporting them again.

If Mac OS X, because bug 938303 is fixed now, Command+Q is killed by "other
shortcut assignment to Quit Firefox by OS" from Firefox 32, as it was possible
unill Firefox 2. So, Mac OS X/Firefox user can freely press Command+W pretty

- checking that speakers aren't muted in alsamixer & pavucontrol
- renaming /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
- model={generic,auto,hp} in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
