It's the Ubuntu Dock extension the culprit. I downgraded it and the problem was
gone.

I did a rollback on the package gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock to the
version 87ubuntu2 and did work. Closing the applications using the
right-button menu in the dock doesn't crash the session anymore.

I'm using Noble for sometime and I'm having a very annoying and odd
problem: everytime I close an application on x11 (Wayland doesn't work
any better) clicking with the right button in the dock and choosing
"Quit" I got that screen saying that something went wrong and I need
@vanvugt This crash didn't generate a crash report. There is a less
destructive way to test it? I think deleting, or even moving, my
extensions wouldn't be productive since it's part of my daily use.
GNOME 45.2 wouldn't implement a better way to deal with crashes without
losing all the session?
I think the last file I added has more useful information because I
executed 'ubuntu-bug gnome-shell' from my X11 session I opened after the
crash.

happened: Almost all (but not all) websites I had logged in (like
Netflix and Google) lost the session and I had to re-login. After I
rebooted the computer (forced closing the Firefox) I had to log in
I was able to load the module libaetpkss from version 3.7.0 (instead of
the latest 3.8.0) to Snap Firefox just copying the shared library to my
home dir (where Firefox has access). It has to be the version 3.7.0 that
needs the legacy package libssl1.1

I had this problem these days. I wasn't upgrading, I was just migrating
my /home user data around on ZFS. To fix I did the same thing, deleted
the ~/.config/pulse directory.

Should we reconsider this? Three reasons for that:
- Since Vivid (hwen reported bugs occur) the driver code evolved a lot;
- Probably would be good for the migration to a GNOME desktop environment;
- Vulkan driver is becoming more present each day and it needs the DRI3.
