a cord which has speaker plug on one end and Audi plugs (red and white)

I would like to answer to comment #27. It was Fedora 17 that worked without any
problems.
I could solve the problem by removing gvfs and using the package cifs-utils.
Once defined the proper data and credentials in /etc/fstab cifs works without
problems and about twice as fast. The average

Sound on built in speakers on Thinkpad X200i crackles, goes silent, returns to
normal.
Restarting pluseaudio helps for a few seconds and sometimes the test sound
button on the sound settings dialogue also helps.
This problem re-appeared after upgrade to 12.04.

Hackel, does the attached screen shot show the issue are describing?
Only a small gray box drops down where the menu should be. Tapping alt
and typing does not work properly either, so all menu commands are
inaccessible. I've seen this in Firefox and Nautilus on two different
12.04 installs.
The attachment 94_reset_preferred_size_on_randr_event.patch of this
bug report has been identified as being a patch. The ubuntu-reviewers
team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review the
patch. In the event that this is in fact not a patch you can resolve
this situation by
