Works for me too :). Still getting some weird errors for input, but
that's another bug ^_^.
@sheridan: There's a PPA here that has the old fglrx drivers... be sure
to heed his warning about Unity though as I did have a bit of issues
getting unity running on my laptop after installing it:

I had the same problem with my LibreOffice 4 version.
The solution was to reassign the ownership of the directory .config.
kingpommes@Karlsruhe:~$ sudo chown -hR kingpommes .config
My guess is that my userID changed after I reinstalled my ubuntu some
time ago. So although I used the same user

I've just tested. Before I started Firefox Xorg.0.log's last line was [
188.082]. After I experienced the stall the last line was still [
188.082]. So nothing had been added to it. In today's log file there's
also no trace of those errors you've spotted. So they could be
unrelated.

It happens to me several times a day when im writing. i lose a lot of
work when that happens. obviously i try to to autosave and i save it
myself constantly, but i still lose a couple paragraphs here and there
which is annoying.
I have a 10mb crash file it produces everytime that has this in it;
Basically the problem is:
(1) the libreoffice packages didn't ensure gstreamer is installed
(2) libreoffice produces uninformative errors
Unless I uninstall ubuntu-restricted-extras and gstreamer1..0 I can'r
reproduce.

hmm, a bit tricky to figure out from that.
Can you login from another machine over a network while it does that?
If so then it's worth seeing if the remote shell hangs while the display is
hung,
and use something like top to see what's happening.

I did add a KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 laser printer through System
Settings...
I then used the PPD file from the install DVD. I did configure the
printer IP address to be 192.168.1.51 then I checked through a ping that
the printer was accessible.

Why isn't this configurable in gconf/dconf or something? It seems every
system behaves differently, which is quite weird (maybe it depends on
the monitors resolution?)

This bug is going to be ignored unless you can get someone to revert the
fix released status. I've contacted some of the people who set that
status on this bug, and I suggest that others do the same.
Personally I have no stake in this any more, since I ditched Ubuntu
proper and have been using

1. I'm assuming you are using auto login (Ie you don't add a password to
login to your system) is this correct?
If number one is yes then it is an issue with the login system not unlocking
the keyring on login. This happens for several apps that access the keyring.

I have 2 machines running Saucy amd64 mixed Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Kubuntu/etc
Problem still exist with Nautilus, Nemo, PCManFM
gvfs 1.17.2-0ubuntu3
Dolphin works fine.

1. This bug was fixed in compiz and Unity in 11.04 (two years ago now). The
left, right and bottom window borders now have a ten-pixel each-way grab area.
2. A similar grab area was added to the top border in 13.04
