I can also confirm what appears to be this bug on 14.04 running on an

Wily 15.10 is much better than 15.04. About half the time Wily comes up
O.K., if not maybe one set wallpape fixes it.
There've been Wily xserver updates to xserver - one of the xserver
updates made hashing wallpaper worse, next update now much better than
15.04.
Of course 14.10 and preceding
The work around for this for me has been to delete the IPV4 Route that I
had configured.
After looking at some of the recommendations at
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=733296, I found a solution.
In 14.04/14.10, I originally had had to set up an IPV4 Route to get the
PPTP VPN to work.
It seems the database at http://www.hostip.info/index.html is
incomplete. I manually added my details and have not had a problem
since.

Some additional info: nm-applet is not just disappearing when changing
networks, it will also disappear after resuming from sleep. I have found
an interim workaround:

That will at least get the nm-applet icon

In Firefox, I used maps.google.com to display a map. I made a PDF file of this
map using 'printing' function in Firefox.
This document is in landscape format.
If I try to rotate it, the page become gray without anything.
Same way, if I try to print it telling to the printer
I am glad that Bug #435930 has been addressed, but I agree with Julian
that this is still a significant design flaw. Imagine if Microsoft Word
displayed the message on launch, Warning: changes to this document will
be lost unless you save it to file before closing Word, and then gave
absolutely

implementation in upstream GTK+ (since 3.14), but without our floating
handle.

When I try to read the attached file with evince it only displays the
first 3 pages. Starting from page 4 it gets stuck in a loading loop.
ghostscript can display the file just fine though so I think this may be
a bug in evince.
