Taking cue from Raymond's comments I managed to get sound from the
Realtek circuits. I used "sudo hdajackretask" to change the pins'
assignments. The whole procedure is easy though a bit elaborate, but I
do not know how to write a permanent programmatic fix

Installed Xenial. From the first boot Xorg logs show touch screen is detected.
But somehow it is not enabled.
(I haven't tested any other operating system on this computer)

I had a similar situation happen where it thought that my wireless
device was an ethernet device shortly after the NM upgrade. Sometimes
it's detected properly and I see networks in NM's applet, other times it

potentially occurs with nvidia graphic cards. (both with nouveau and

I was not able to reproduce the problem using trusty + 3.19 kernel and
libvirt alone. I was able to scale appropriately to 63 domains using

If manually restarting hid_multitouch works (ex: su -c "rmmod hid_multitouch;
modprobe hid_multitouch;")
try this:
su -c "echo "SUSPEND_MODULES="hid_multitouch"" >> /etc/pm/config.d/modules "
This fixed it for me on elementary OS

Start a gnome-terminal (it should start windowed, 80x24), then maximise
it (by double clicking the title bar, clicking the maximise button,
etc.); its title bar disappears and it is now correctly maximised.
Now un-maximise the terminal (same way as before). It briefly flashes
1. I was connected to WiFi before rebooting.
2. I wasn't able to connect to 2 out of 2 networks I tried to. Hadn't had
the opportunity to try other networks.
3. There's a file per WiFi network appearing in my Connection Editor
screen. Attached the content of the file of the network I recently tried

ubuntu login and then after that the gnome-keyring daemon go smooth...
