I just found I manually patched my Thunderbird but this change got now

I am currently running 18.10.
The external monitor does not work with HDMI at all - when I plug it in
to the machine, the monitor switches to low power mode.

I agree that the full path to the system python3 should be specified. I
use pyenv to install multiple local versions of python2 and python3. And
this was breaking silently for me (couldn't open the preferences gui
