I have recently installed Debian Wheezy and installed Nautilus 3.8 from
experimental (package 'nautilus_3.8.0-1_i386.deb' from here

For me it popus up the password box very often if I turn off my router.
As long as my router is off, NM popup the password in a timely basis .

Correction: No need to suspend, removing the cable and re-plugging causes the

You are not seeing this problem because you ARE using CA certificate.
When you don't have one Network Manager should ignore it and connect
anyway, if you tell him so, which doesn't happen without manually editig
a config file to force it to do so.
Now, it IS true that using a cert is safer, but
...because most people will just follow their faculty's/company's IT
team instructions, and those don't always provide any CA certificate.

u are absolutely right, fanko, my faculty doesn't provide a cert either and
I can confirm that people always follow the faculty's instructions. we have
a nice step by step tutorial for each OS and I also used when I set up
eduroam for the 1st time.
this bug is critical.

when I Dist-Upgraded to 13.04 .
