same thing happen to me even when i try to downgrade to version 304,also i try
to install .run driver from nvidia website.
to fix my system (12.04 TLS) i have to login as a root in console mode and
remove all nvidia files:

When the Menu Key is pressed (on the keyboard) it opens a context menu/app,
when i press it again (without closing the first context menu) it generates
another context menu, and doesnt delete the first one. It does NOT replace the
first context menu, when creating another
