connects, and a memory card reader still connects. Out of curiosity, I
turned on an old computer with Ubuntu 12.04 and connected the Samsung

Some further notes: the card that I plugged into to the card reader was
the one from my canon camera. When I tried to plud other cards no of
them were read, only canon formatted card was readable. Finally I
turned off my Samsung Note II and removed the card from it and plugged
it into the card
I too am affected by this problem as I used blueproximity under 12.04 to
lock and unlock my desktop, and it is now unable to unlock it again with
gnome-screensaver-command -d.
What is the solution to this? I need to be able to programmatically
unlock the desktop.

Just as the title says, installing 'gnome-session-flashback' in Ubuntu
GNOME provides a GNOME Flashback (Compiz) session even though 'compiz'

This fails terribly because the new chromium cannot lock the profile and
just generally doesn't work well. sensible-browser should be opening a
new window in an existing instance of a browser.
