Since that reported issue, i've made three fresh installations: utopic 32,
utopic 64, trusty 32
they all run gnome-shell.
As a result, the error reported here has not been seen on these
installations: one use its own 'home' folder, the 2 others share a /home

@alberto: so audio is considered to be non-essential in a consumer
computer??? I could see that being the case for servers, but
computers with gui interfaces ought to consider audio to be essential to
that experience, see for instance PC-98 spec.

Hi, i succeeded to enable raw scanning on my HP Deskjet 4615 with this

As a work around, you can enable the option Show floating icon when
Onboard is hidden in the General tab of the Onboard Preferences window.
This way, you can make Onboard reappear by clicking on the floating

compiz.
I'm using the latest ubuntu 14.04.1 and Compiz 0.9.11.2 and unity 7.2.2.

What else information is needed?
I have tried with the daily kernel 3.17.0-999.201409272205 and the tainting
still occurs. The syslog trace related to suspending event is slightly
different (dis_dev_get+0x15/0x40 [bbswitch] instead of
pci_bus_read_config_dword+0x64/0x90 in the initial report

What does it have to do with OS X? This bug affects Ubuntu Nautilus connecting
to Time Capsule - no OSX involved at all.
