The software-center issue is bug #1313884, I submitted a fix for it, the
issue is that the flag is to be use with set_flags(), not open(). One

It is ridiculous that this bug doesn't have the highest priority.
Imagine an inexperienced user that, after an update, finds its system
unusable.

Using ubuntu live DVDs : commands in system-config-printer of ubuntu 13.10 work
OK. In ubuntu 14.10 they do not work.
I uninstalled system-config-printer 1.5.6 from my xubuntu 15.04, then installed
version 1.3.8 The commands work OK.
So some change between system-config

I have disabled flash via
chrome://plugins
and still get the issue.
One frequent manifestation of the bug is to click on the arrow of a drop
down choice box. If the contents of the choice box are all greyed out,
then the browser freezes up as does the OS.

@Xavier: Can't you provide us, at very least, a small tutorial showing
how to compile this with the latest empathy build? Because it doesn't
work.
If not - I donated years ago for this to be implemented, so I'll want my
money back. :P

Lorin Soura, ok so part of your problem may very well be that you used a
Server ISO (non-GUI) and installed a GUI on top of it. Hence, if you
install Ubuntu via the Desktop (GUI) ISO, is this still reproducible?
