Thanks to craig-jackson if you want to check before compiling your
kernel if you have the same problem that I had, you can check if the
sound can work for a few seconds with the command below :
sudo apt install git
git clone https://github.com/VanVan/check_sound.git
sudo ./check_sound/check_sound
I've just installed chrome on ubuntu, but I faced this issue. I can
change url for first time, but after the first site is loaded it
freezes, if a change the language back and forth, it starts working tho.

had to do some extra things to get kernel compilation working.
The workaround steps are described here:
