I have a similar problem here. After recent Ubuntu updates, I restarted
my computer. The audio on the WF-1000XM4 started stuttering.
Reinstalled Bluez and PulseAudio. In the PulseAudio GUI there is a tab

group actually makes it disappear after being moved.

I have sound in gnomeradio and tvtime with and without padsp! I had a fresh
install of 12.04, and installed packets that i saved with synaptic from 10.04.
I do not know if that maked any significance, but what i did do, is opened
alsamixer and unmuted line and aux outputs.

never mind... just find out the problem. it turns out that remmina's
proccess keeps running even after you close the main window. that's why
it wasn't loading the recently installed plugins.
my bad I haven't noticed before its icon laying in the system tray. you
just need to quit the application

Since I upgraded my Ubuntu form version 14.04 to 14.10 the Screen
Brightness is always the highest and I can't change it. Even when I go
to the settings and change the Brightness it keeps the same

I would add here that it's hard to test the issue in other desktop
environments since, at least for me, Unity was the only that worked with
the DisplayLink device I have (AOC e1649Fwu). I'm currently using a
slightly tweaked version of this script[1] to enable the display, and

I have found out that the bug is somehow related to vgaswitcheroo. Here
is a way to reproduce it (installing lm-sensors is welcome):
1. Let's say you have both integrated and discrete. Then, `cat
/sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch` should give you something like

system hangs when
Same problem with my Lenovo Ideapad P400 Touch. Could this have
something to do with KVM? Ubuntu always report a error in KVM when
loading.
The closing the lid/suspending trick also worked with me.
Since P400 is a version made from Lenovo to BestBuy from Z400, it is
probably that users of
