  * Better, faster page loading that uses less computer memory.
  * Gorgeous design and smart features for intelligent browsing.

  **Now 2x faster**

Crazy powerful browser engine? Check. Less time waiting around for pages

  **Smooth browsing**

Whether you’ve opened 10 or 1000, switching between tabs is faster than

That’s why our powerful tool stops them cold.

  * Faster Page Loading

  * By blocking some ads and scripts that bog down browsing, pages load

  * Themes

Subject: he is risen

As someone who moved out as a teenager, most of my posts on this
subject encourage people to flip the proverbial bird and blaze their
own trail. But, I am not so sure here. And, coming from me, that says
quite a lot.

Don't get me wrong, I still lean heavily towards leaving, due to her eating
disorder / mental health issue, but a few factors matter. How many more years
of school are ahead for her? How much is her tuition a year? If she were
going to med school, I'd say fuck it, take the 200K in loans, and pay it back
your damn self. But, psych degrees, well, a I know a few people with those
who are waiting tables. So, what's the money here? How much is school and
how much is left?

Also, about moving out, at 21, it's not just narcissistic parents
who would balk at that. It's not so much as moving out is the issue
it's moving out with a guy. Shit happens in these scenarios, a
person ends up with a broken heart, the GPA tanks... or they throw
parties at their new home GPA tanks.. that's a huge investment from
the parents side they are looking after. So, I'm not just hopping up
and down claiming narcissism. They have points, which just haven't
been discussed and probably would be accepted..

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 872055] Re: GtkNotbook scrolling tabs throug mouse doesn't work anymore

2014-01-02 Thread tommaso
There are several duplicate bugs in gnome for the problem but I think
they will ignore/close all because is their choice too remove that
feature(!); eventually I think that the bug to follow is
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145244

I use a lot the wheel for switch tab and I want to remark that is active by
default in qt (and is a parameter!)
In the other distro I use, I have to apply the patch after every update but
actually in Ubuntu I hope they will do it.

(sorry for my English)

** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #145244

** Package changed: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) = ubuntu

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1035749] Re: graphical interface freeze when logging Ubuntu (Unity3D)

2013-04-27 Thread Tommaso Bosco
@ Chauncellor: I've tried to upgrade from 12.04 and also to do a fresh
installation.
@ fpgahardwareengineer: Via PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra
I can't provide the output right now 'cause I've upgraded to 13.04 and now the
command
sudo apt-get purge fglrx lightdm sudo apt-get install lightdm ubuntu-desktop
is unuseful :(
So Ubuntu 13.04 is still affected!!!

Banshee freezes on copying to iPod music which needs transcoding

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After updating to raring, Banshee freezes each time I try to import to
an iPod any music file which needs transcoding (i.e., FLAC and OGG).
Importing music which doesn't need transcoding works, so the problem
seems to be with the transcoding process itself and not with the iPod
  interaction.

I am able to transcode the files manually with SoundConverter, though
I usually need to start the process two or three times and I still get
spurious error messages (typically, the message says the output file
cannot be saved, although the output file IS correctly saved and it
  plays back just fine).

This too is new since the upgrade. I do not know if the two problems
are related and if they indicate a deeper problem in the GStreamer
stack. Please let me know if there is any further testing that I can
perform to help assess the problem. Please also let me know if you
wish me to report separate bugs against SoundCoverter and/or
  GStreamer.

Looking into banshee.log, the underlying problem seems to be the
following:

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 879270] [NEW] Evolution mail filters not working Ubuntu 11.10

2011-10-21 Thread Tommaso Mello
Public bug reported:

When upgraded to 11.10 Evolution stop working: no error reported but could not
receive mail (IMAP). Sending mail was ok.
moreover, all mails since sept 2010 were gone, except for a inbox subfolder
which was up-to-the-date of Ubuntu upgrading.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 845746] [NEW] Gwibber service autostarts when autostart is disabled

2011-09-09 Thread Tommaso R. Donnarumma
Public bug reported:

gwibber-service always starts at login, even when the Start service at
login checkbox in the Options tab of Gwibber preferences is left
unchecked.

I see the following line in /etc/xdg/autostart/gwibber.desktop:
AutostartCondition=GSettings org.gwibber.preferences autostart

But, although the referenced setting exists and is set to false,
gwibber-service still starts automatically.
