[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1799913] Re: Unhandled lockdown error (-2) - iphone ios 12
When I plug in my iPhone I automatically get a pop up on my iPhone asking if I wish to trust my computer. I accept it and put in my pass code. In Nautilus I get two new sections "Documents on iPhone" and "iPhone". The section "iPhone" opens up just fine and I am able to look at my pictures. But when I click on "Documents on iPhone" I get the lockdown error. In my terminal when I type in "idevicepair pair" I get "ERROR: Device *long string of numbers and letters* returned unhandled error code -5" ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2019-02-04 13-47-51.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libimobiledevice/+bug/1799913/+attachment/5235913/+files/Screenshot%20from%202019-02-04%2013-47-51.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libimobiledevice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799913 Title: Unhandled lockdown error (-2) - iphone ios 12 Status in libimobiledevice package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hi! [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1262201] Re: System freezes on resume/unlock
Still a problem in Ubuntu 18.10 on Acer Swift 3. With screen blanked, on resume, it occasionally hangs to leave a blank screen and the side bar. To recover from it, I switched to another tty (Ctrl-Alt-F3 for example) then ran "killall gnome-shell" and gnome-shell would restart by itself. However now for some reason I need to do "export DISPLAY=:0; gnome-shell -r &" The side bar is then missing and the display blanks after 15 seconds. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1262201 Title: System freezes on resume/unlock Status in GNOME Shell: Unknown Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: After suspend the session the system freezes. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1516713] Re: gtk3 overlay scrollbars consistently show wrong behaviour
Thanks, I found one already reported here https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=752335 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #752335 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=752335 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1516713 Title: gtk3 overlay scrollbars consistently show wrong behaviour Status in gedit package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: This is a general bug in GTK3 overlay scrolling (the new kind, not the old "overlay scrollbars" feature). When a window needs both horizontal and vertical scrolling the actual accessible content is reduced by the size of the scrollbars that show up when you move the mouse into the window. Normally the scrollbars are logically outside the scrollable area and that whole are can be scrolled into view. With overlay scrolling this is not the case because the scrollbars OVERLAY the scrollable content, effectively making part of that content unreachable. In case of a text-file opened in GEDIT this means that the last text- line will be covered by the horizontal scrollbar and you can not scroll further down to scroll it above the horizontal scroll bar (see the attached screenshot). The fix would obviously be to extend the logical scroll range of both scrollbars with the width of the other scrollbar if that exists. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1516713] Re: gtk3 overlay scrollbars consistently show wrong behaviour
I'm using gedit on Ubuntu 16.10 and this problem has irritated me for enough Ubuntu releases to finally complain about it. The last line at the bottom of a document is really difficult to select. The cursor so easily triggers the scroll bar instead of selecting text since the trigger area for the scroll bar overlaps by about a 1/2line overlap on the text. Same goes for the side. I think bug 808516 is similar to this bug except with the vertical scroll bar (which isn't such a problem for our left to right usage). Same problem in Nemo and Nautilus trying to select the last file. Firefox on the other hand forces persistent fixed width scrollbars so there is no problem there. Is there a way to get other apps to behave like Firefox? ** Attachment added: "gedits last line.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1516713/+attachment/4787707/+files/gedits%20last%20line.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1516713 Title: gtk3 overlay scrollbars consistently show wrong behaviour Status in gedit package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: This is a general bug in GTK3 overlay scrolling (the new kind, not the old "overlay scrollbars" feature). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1285444] Re: Login Successful, Desktop Never Loads
I just realized dconf 'dump / > dump.txt' doesn't dump everything seen in dconf-editor, only the fields in bold (non-default values?). For example /org/compiz/gwd isn't in the dump file. Should also note I have gnome3 desktop environment installed alongside unity but I recall the issues weren’t a result of installing that. I attached a dconf dump of /org/compiz after running dconf reset -f /org/compiz on the problem file. So some difference between the two files is problematic. ** Attachment added: "dconf /org/compiz/ dump after reset" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at-spi2-core/+bug/1285444/+attachment/4681245/+files/dconf_org-compiz_reset.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to at-spi2-core in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1285444 Title: Login Successful, Desktop Never Loads Status in at-spi2-core package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Here is what I encounter 1. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1285444] Re: Login Successful, Desktop Never Loads
Using 16.04 had the same problem with blank screen. The first thing I tried was running 'unity-tweak-tool --reset-unity' but that made it even worse: before the windows had borders & top bar and I could use some shortcuts such as ctrl-alt-T to pull up gnome-terminal (but not custom shortcuts) and alt-tab to switch screens but that was lost after that command. Removing ~/.config/dconf/user made it work again as noted above, but specifically something in /org/compiz since running 'dconf reset -f /org/compiz/' worked too. I then reverted back to the problematic file and tried resetting /org/compiz/profiles/unity and the only thing that fixed was the alt- tab, shortcuts and window borders again. So there seems to be another bug since shortcuts are located in org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins /media-keys Running 'gnome-session-quit --force' gets an error which normally doesn't happen when it's working normally: ** (gnome-session-quit:3002): WARNING **: Failed to call logout: GDBus.Error:org.gnome.SessionManager.NotInRunning: Logout interface is only available during the Running phase Attached is a dconf dump of /org/compiz ** Attachment added: "dconf /org/compiz/ dump" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at-spi2-core/+bug/1285444/+attachment/4681188/+files/dconf_org-compiz.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to at-spi2-core in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1285444 Title: Login Successful, Desktop Never Loads Status in at-spi2-core package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Here is what I encounter 1. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1306518] Re: gnome crashes when trying to switch to another workspace
Have the same issue but only started recently, possibly after upgrading Ubuntu to 14.04. Happens every time when trying to using the short keys for changing viewport (ie Ctrl-Alt-ArrowKeys). However changing viewport using the expo key or mouse (shows HUD with all viewports), it switches viewports fine and does not crash. I ran compiz in gdb following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingCompiz under advanced debugging and got an error log. note: I had to run gdb in screen and resuming it in different tty terminal (ex Ctrl-Alt-F1) to finish debugging since desktop became unusable after crashing. ** Attachment added: Compiz crash when changing viewports using hotkeys https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1306518/+attachment/4125623/+files/compiz-crash.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1306518 Title: gnome crashes when trying to switch to another workspace Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Using gnome fallback (compiz). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 839927] [NEW] libreoffice draw display grid does not display the grid
Public bug reported: libreoffice draw (lodraw) provides the ability to display a grid and to snap objects to the grid. The grid display is controlled through either 'menu:View-Grid-Display Grid' or contextmenu:Grid-Display Grid'. The grid snapping is controlled through either 'menu:View-Grid-Snap to Grid' or contextmenu:Grid-Sanp to Grid'. None of these have any effect . The grid is never displayed and nothing ever snaps to the grid. Tested without either of the .libreoffice and .openoffice.org directories present to ensure this was not a misconfiguration on my part.
