After a software upgrade yesterday, I see screen glitches and a
"stumbling" mouse cursor whenever I move the mouse in the lower quarter

the exact same behavior described in the steps to reproduce when using

Sorry, I take back my word. It's still the same issue in RTL paragraphs
on LO 7.3.0.3. Writing my previous comment, I had only tested LTR
paragraphs, which had other issues. RTL paragraphs still displace the

In Ubuntu 21.04 beta (using the wayland session) when unmaximizing a
window by dragging it off from the top bar at least two bugs happen
randomly.
1. The window might not unmaximize at all but keeps it's maximized size.
2. The unmaximize animation does not play correctly

One additional aspect to note is that some desktop monitors reconnect to
the system when returning from power-save mode. In my case the sound
selection is changed to HDMI/DisplayPort whenever this happens. Changing
the sound setting back 10+ times a day is extremely annoying.

I tested this again with LO 6.3.2.2 installed on Ubuntu as a snap. Now
font metrics are still mixed up in the main view while I am typing and
permanently on the formula line. When I finish typing and press Enter,
the main display shows the characters correctly. So part of the problem
is fixed,

Thanks for your advice. I did what you suggested and everything worked
as expected. After some experimentation, I think I found the cause of
the problem, too: What I had previously installed on my system was the
full font package called "OldHungarian_0.5.zip" available on Github
under "Releases".
Font substitution for spaces and punctuation worked well when I
submitted bug #1800640 for LO 6.0.6.2. There is even a screenshot
attached to that bug report where you can see it for yourself. The text
in the two screenshots is the same except for the sentence in English

I have the flickering problem with 2560x1440 screens, AMD Radeon RX 550.
tried it on two screens: asus and samsung. asus is capable of freesync, samsung
not. asus can handle higher frequency, samsung 50Hz only.
On samsung it works without any problems. On asus monitor I have the

LightDM is already able to create the xauthority file locally under
$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR, using configuration option user-authority-in-system-
dir. This option is off by default on Ubuntu 16.04/18.04, but can be
enabled with
# echo -e '[LightDM]\nuser-authority-in-system-dir=true'

Trying to open a gtk2 message box crashes the hosting program. Easiest
way I've been able to reproduce this is to run gtk-demo from the
gtk2.0-examples package, and try to spawn a message dialog from the
Dialog and Message Boxes demo. Nothing is printed to stdout or stderr.
Add error messages in plain text since additional line breaks were added
by launchpad in the original message.

To add to #14 comment, a file in /var/lib/initramfs-tools also gets
generated if the host kernel differs from the chroot environments
kernel.
In my case I'm running a Debian system with the 4.9.0-6-amd64 kernel and
a Ubuntu (Xenial) chroot environment with the 4.4.0-127-generic kernel.

Selecting files with long filenames using Shift and arrow keys causes
nautilus in icon view not to advance sequentially or not to advance at
all. Here's a test case:
1) Create a new folder and create empty files with long names in it
using the command:
for i in 1 2 3 4 5 6
I did what you suggested and installed LibreOffice 6.0.3.2 together with
a full system update from Ubuntu 17.10 to 18.04. Now the document seems
to work fine. Thank you for your help!
