[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1085598] Re: Empathy shows duplicate entries for contacts under People Nearby

2012-12-02 Thread Saad Bin Javed
The problem seems to happen only on first run. Restarting empathy
removes the duplicate entries. Should be an easy fix for this.

It seems the new chrome stable version (23.0.1271.64) has fixed the
issue. Still need to test it longer.

Disabling pepperflash plugin doesnt work for me.

Saad Bin Javed you can try this workaround

This is what I figured out actually works:
- Type about:plugins in your address bar
- Click Details on the upper right corner
- Locate the entry for libpepflashplayer.so
-- Click Disable
- Locate the entry for libflashplayer.so
-- The entry should already, if not enable it, or you'll lose flash support.

Restart Chrome and you'll be popping-free. But you will get the
annoying there is an flash update dialogues. Better than the popping.

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
After login in Ubuntu 12.04, my wifi connection in the network manager
is always disconnected. The laptop (Dell XPS 15 L502x) wifi switch is
off and I have to manually start it up with Fn+F2. This happens every
time. I was running Fedora 16 before switching to ubuntu and in Fedora

wireless configuration bug? If anybody needs any other information,

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 990981] Re: Wifi switched off after login (Intel Centrino-N 1030)

2012-04-29 Thread Saad Bin Javed
I know this is dumb but have you tried fn+f2 twice? It works on the 2nd
try.

Title:
Wifi switched off after login (Intel Centrino-N 1030)

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After login in Ubuntu 12.04, my wifi connection in the network manager
is always disconnected. The laptop (Dell XPS 15 L502x) wifi switch is
off and I have to manually start it up with Fn+F2. This happens every
time. I was running Fedora 16 before switching to ubuntu and in Fedora
wifi was always connected after login, so I'm thinking this is a
wireless configuration bug? If anybody needs any other information,
I'll be happy to provide it.
