[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1112773] Re: HP LJ 1010 doesn't print some images with default settings

2018-10-04 Thread ipfyx
I found a solution.

Neither hplip, gimp-gutenprint or hpcups driver are working for me.
http://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP/HP-LaserJet_1010

So I tried hpijs 3.16.11.
Here is what I installed. Now that its working I don't want to uninstall what
seems unecessary such as hpcups.

sudo apt-get install hpijs-ppds printer-driver-hpijs cups
sudo apt-get install --reinstall printer-driver-hpcups
Dans http://localhost:631/admin
Add Printer
HP LaserJet 1010
Check "Share This Printer"
Driver HP LaserJet 1010 hpijs 3.16.11 (en)

Media Size : A4
Printout Mode: Normal
Media Source: Printer Default
Double-Sided Printing: Off

I can print text file as well as pdf file smoothly. It's a little bit to dark
on windows though.
Linux XXX 4.9.0-8-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.110-3+deb9u5 (2018-09-30) x86_64

printer-driver-hpcups 3.16.11+repack0-3
printer-driver-hpijs 3.16.11+repack0-3
...

I also did this :
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CUPS/Troubleshooting#CUPS:_prints_only_an_empty_and_an_error-message_page_on_HP_LaserJet
# lpadmin -p printer -o pdftops-renderer-default=pdftops

I also hold the package to prevent any update.

Do you job HP, fix hplib.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1112773] Re: HP LJ 1010 doesn't print some images with default settings

2018-04-23 Thread Mikhail
Guys, I have the same problem. I have HP Laser Jet 1010 printer. It
works correctly with text documents, such as doc, docx and e.t.c. But it
prints just several lines from the top of the paper shit if I try to
print any image files such as pdf, tiff, gif. Linux printing service
created txt file "troubleshoot.txt". I attached it to this topic. Do you
have any solution? :(

Here is inxi -S information.
Kernel: 4.13.0-38-generic x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: Cinnamon 3.6.6 Distro:
Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia

HPLIP Software version is 3.18.3

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1112773] Re: HP LJ 1010 doesn't print some images with default settings

2013-03-20 Thread Till Kamppeter
This is a problem of the HPLIP printer driver. Forwarding upstream ...

Can someone of the HPLIP developers at HP have a look into this problem?
Thanks.

Bug description:
When printing the attached image on an HP LJ 1010 attached to Ubuntu

At the same time, simpler things (like a random Wikipedia page) are

I simply plugged the USB cable from the printer into my Toshiba AC100
