Started getting this also a few days ago. Nvidia and AMD64 Trusty chromium-browser --version Chromium 34.0.1847.116 Ubuntu 14.04 aura Side note - I had problems with chromium before the Aw, Snap's started. It would launch on my main monitor, but if I tried to move te window to another monitor (I have 6) the chromium window would go black. The problem has not gone away for me. I'm on Precise (utill the next LTS ugrade) AMD64 with Invidia. Today the Software center pushed out an update to Chromium but I still get the aw snap on every page. I can't open settings, plugins or any other page for that matter. I attached my backtrace here. I have the same issue as described in comment #14. The result is No Stack. Instead a crash repport came up. That is SIGINT, a Control-C on the keyboard, not a SIGSEGV. Did you stop it with keyboard? You should have gotten a prompt naturally instead. If you stopped it because it didn't stop itself, then the problem may be the sandbox. Okay, so far it seems to be limited to Precise and amd64 and maybe nvidia video. I would like to see what the SEGV is at. Please apt-get update, upgrade, install chromium-browser-dbg package. Then, in a terminal, chromium-browser -g. (gdb) run Then, at a crash, (gdb) set logging file backtrace.log (gdb) set logging on (gdb) bt full ... Hey Chad, the browser doesn't crash, it is just unable to display any page because in every page, including settings, aww snap error is shown. Since the browser doesn't crash, the gdb stack is empty. The aw snap is probably a crash. What do you see in dmesg?
