Using the steps above will actually lead to a broken ICS connection, probably; because ICS doesn't seem to work well with IPv6 (and either way, dnsmasq can't provide v6 addresses). As a further step, make sure you go to the IPv6 tab as well and set IPv6 method to Ignore, I think this will resolve

It is the only workaround I know of as well, using Backbox 2 (which is based on Ubuntu 11.04). I would like to use Ubuntu 11.10 for this instead, since I only use Backbox at work (mostly). For now however, I will use Backbox until the bug is fixed. -- You received this bug notification because

I do have exactly the same problem on 2 different notebooks (32bit and 64bit)! It seems like Shared to other computers doesn't work anymore (wifi and lan, so i think its a problem with ip handling and not a driver problem?)... my workaround was reinstalling Ubuntu 11.04, where everything works
