I solved recently by changing the driver to
Generic PCL 3 Printer Foomatic/pcl3
and set the parameters to monochrom and 600x600dpi
The other 2 are bugging.

UPDATE:
I finally just reinstalled, and thought based on other solutions in that
same thread that installing skype before bumblebee might fix my issues.
So, I reinstalled. Installed skype.
Skype works! Sound works! No config options even needed!
Restarted computer.
Pulse is broken.

I tested on arale (ubuntu-touch/devel-proposed/meizu.en #58). Generally
its working fine but discovered the same as Tony said in his last
comment: When booting with WiFi enabled just a default-route for WiFi is
added. When switching WiFi off a new default route gets added for mobile
data.

I have tried to install the last nvidia-352 from the following ppa
https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive to replace nvidia-340. I still have
a black screen with the lightdm music when I start my computer (Asus 64 bits:
ubuntu 14.04: Optimus technology).
The workaround I currently use
In Ubuntu 14.04-2, Libreoffice 4.4.4 from ppa or ubuntu has this problem,
downloading from libreoffice.org does not. One of the differences is the
libicu library, the version from libreoffice.org comes with its own libicu 53.

could you help to modify the code with what Iain had suggested? Totally

I also have a slowly growing polkitd.
After an uptime of 6d1h /usr/lib/policykit-1/polkitd --no-debug has a
CPU time of 6:32:57 and memory usage of 1.3GiB (started around 7MiB at
boot).
After a reboot, reading smem every 10 minutes, it appears to be growing
1609MiB/10min. +-5MiB consistently.

On Mint13 32-bit xfce, based on Ubuntu 12.04.5 32-bit, the reported problem
seems to have been solved.

Looks like NetworkManager is having issues getting the user's VPN
password from gnome-key-daemon. I've posted a workaround at
http://askubuntu.com/a/332796/109757. Basically, change password-flags=1
to password-flags=0 in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/VPN
(warning: this will store the VPN

This bug happens whenever opening any application. workaround on
disabling unknown monitor in system settings seems to work temporarily
but needs to be done on every boot.
