No at the moment it is not configurable,
with bug 1636583 fixed, you can also tell them the address with an
ending slash, that will force a visit.

Wishlist: add
While new features are always welcome, everyone isn't for everyone. Is
there way to disable this behaviour? I can disable "Restore previous
session" from Preferences but then i lose pages that was open.

Hi, to report, also noticed gvfs smb mount being over 10x slower in many
cases depending on the read IO pattern. Seems GVFS alls a lot of
latency. Summary of benchmark via fio:

There has been many proposals to upstream throughout years for fixing
that stupid and ridiculous ellipsis.
Upstream seems not to want to merge those because these days they are
working on a new app grid - where ellipsis is still a thing.
It's been years they don't care.
