open a bug for it because I was running on a VM and for some reason the
Firefox wasn't responsive at that moment, but the problem is a crash on
Wayland after back from entering the stand by mode under unknown
circumstances.

I updated to Firefox 112 from the Mozilla Team PPA and a strange thing
happened: Almost all (but not all) websites I had logged in (like
Netflix and Google) lost the session and I had to re-login. After I
rebooted the computer (forced closing the Firefox) I had to log in
again
I updated to the last version and the icon went back to the grid. I'm
using pure Ubuntu Noble.

destructive way to test it? I think deleting, or even moving, my
extensions wouldn't be productive since it's part of my daily use.

It's the Ubuntu Dock extension the culprit. I downgraded it and the problem was
gone.

It seems odd. I know after a crash GNOME Shell starts with all the
extensions unloaded, even the ones installed with the system like Ubuntu
Dock still operates.
Could you check if that's the case with the Extension Manager or
Extensions app?

I was able to load the module libaetpkss from version 3.7.0 (instead of
the latest 3.8.0) to Snap Firefox just copying the shared library to my
home dir (where Firefox has access). It has to be the version 3.7.0 that
needs the legacy package libssl1.1

I like to confirm ahmet_der workaround. Works like a charm. The problem
is you can't manage the display via gnome-control-center anymore. But I
think this is a big clue to solve the problem.

For me it popus up the password box very often if I turn off my router.
As long as my router is off, NM popup the password in a timely basis .
After one hour with the router off, i have more then 30 password prompts
at screen.
