I really question why the current netapp plugin exists in ACS at all to begin with at all. It basically just manages LUNs and such in really has nothing to do with ACS or cloud functionality (that I can see). I'd be all for trashing it. Is there any chance whatever you're working on will have

Darren, The integration we are working on will be closed source. The NetApp OpenStack integrations are GPL due to the nature of OpenStack. They may be simply doing xml/http request because that is the lowest level of communicating with our storage controllers. Our work uses an internal library
