I didn't understand how the Apache OGNL could fix the Struts issues,
since what we've done is just repackaging and polishing APIs/build; at
the end of the day, it still implements exactly the same features on
GitHub... can you provide please more details?

Glad to see my interpretation of the need for the software grant seems
to be the accepted consensus. IMO that is the distinction between
keeping the code you wrote on your own hardware and putting it on
github/sf/etc.

I'm afraid that the changes which are going to occur, (IIUC) will
likely break the backward-compatibility. Won't they, Jochen?.
So there are only two chances:
* release OGNL as it at the moment.
* release an 3.0.2 version, starting from the github codebase and then
applying the patch.
