I'm calling a vote on Felix Bundle Repository version 2.0.0.
It's been a long time since the OBR has been released, and since it
now also provides the OSGi Repository API 1.0 I think this warrants a
version of 2.0.0. Note that the

Unfortunately I’m going to have to cancel this vote due to a bug involving the

Hi,
Mark found a bug in the staged maven-bundle-plugin 2.5.0 release, so I’ve

I’m considering staging the next release as 2.5.1 rather than re-using 2.5.0
(and having to change the tag in svn, etc.) … any thoughts/preferences?

There was, because any basic maven project upgrading to 2.5.0 would break so
IMHO it did not meet our release quality. It just so happened that the

No problem, but I don't see why to cancel the 2.5.0 release. When we cancel,

Do you really want a plugin version out

I think I didn't follow you, but if you didn't promote the release on
Nexus, the artifacts won't be released, so the current staging 2.5.0
won't be promoted.
So, you can drop the staging repo, remove the tag, fix your issue and
redo the release again.
If you already promoted the staging repo,
Just to clarify, the 2.5.0 release has been cancelled due to this bug:

which affects several use-cases (including ones that people new to OSGi would
use).
The staging repository was dropped and the tag was removed - but I
The copyright seems out of date (still points to 2011).
The notice does say we include OSGi stuff - are we? IIrc, we are not
supposed to put stuff in the NOTICE that isn't required - hence, if we
don't include something from OSGi we should fix this (I'd be ok with fixing
it in trunk).

I'd go with a 2.5.0 since it's been a canceled vote and the stage has been
dumped.
Less confusing then to skip a 2.5.0 version, which might confuse others
even more :)

This one does seem to include OSGi software but doesn't mention that fact

You are right. This is new, since the OSGi Repository APIs are now
included as substitutable exports.

Not sure about the NOTICE, it may have been a reference to the
org.apache.felix.service.threadio / command packages which were supposed to
end up as an OSGi spec (and were originally in the org.osgi package iirc).

I guess the consensus here is leaning towards having the sources in a
separate jar file. This is what Maven normally does anyway when you're
using the maven-source-plugin. IDEs should be able to find these
sources when you need them. I know m2e does this automatically for you
- downloads them on
