I opened JIRA 1318 and attached a patch that will create html files in the geronimo.apache.org web site that redirect to the appropriate locations. http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-1318 If a commiter could please inspect and apply that patch and then regen the website it will allow

I agree with Hernan that the current links in the welcome portlet are very helpful. But I think we should only keep them if we can be sure they won't change in the foreseeable future. IMO the best way to ensure that would be to set up redirects and/or aliases under the HTTP server for

I would prefer to try to keep the documentation index together and direct people to a documentation page on the Geronimo site, and from there have links to all the documentation sources -- Confluence, MoinMoin, the online books, etc. I'm not sure it behooves us to try to break out separate links
