Um, no. Keen isn't the word I'd use to describe the reaction to
that proposal...

Well, not having seen the proposal, or suffered through what seems to
be an uncomfortable debate... I can't really say. Though now that
I've felt the heated reaction from ASF infra I would agree that keen
is not the appropriate term to describe it.

Is there a MySQL database available for Geronimo use? We probably
want to use an external RDMBS to back the Confluence setup.
I can start with the standalone and we can migrate to an external
RDBMS later if there isn't one available right now.
Also, unless someone has a better suggestion,

I think it's pretty much vanilla zone with nothing in it really. We
got it a month or so ago and haven't done
At the time which I recommended to the Infra list to switch from
UseMod to MoinMoin, I did not think that Confluence was going to grow
up as fast as it did... or I would have been more inclined to
recommend Confluence.
But, things change...
And I believe that Confluence is really a much
FYI, MoinMoin ain't got nuthin on the latest plugins for Confluence,
like the Composition plugin:

If you haven't seen these, you really gotta check them out. The tabs
and clocking macros turn any ordinary flat wiki page into a dynamic
Anyone know what smtp server is available in our zone that will relay?
Need one for Confluence email notifications.

Hi All,
it has been a while since this note about the solaris zones but I have
not seen any more comments about setting up a confluence site on any of
these zones.
It would be great if the growing V1 documentation in the confluence site
(hosted by atlassian) could be moved and hosted locally
It would be nice to see ASF Infra switch over wiki.apache.org to
Confluence 2.x, but I suppose they won't bee too keen to switching
wiki systems again so soon, after switching to MoinMoin :-|

As I said, I am willing to help in any way I can. Getting confluence up
and running is fairly simple. IIRC, Aaron offered some time ago a
MoinMoin to confluence migration tool, so migrating the current content
should not be a show stopper.
IMHO, the current wiki still should have major
Hey Jason, any chance you'd be interested in setting up Confluence in
our zone?

Our zones are done and I'm creating user accounts for those that
volunteered to help admin, namely jeff, bruce and david. I've run
into a small problem (solaris doesn't seem to like group names bigger
than 8 characters!) so I'll get that sorted and we can move forward...

I've added user accounts for the three fools^H^H^H^H brave volunteers
that have offered to join me as zone admins, jeff, bruce and david.
I'll need their public keys to finish this off. I looked at
minotaur, but all except jeff had multiple keys, so I'd prefer if
y'all would just tell me
