I wouldn't use a bare board at home, there is too much static
electricity there. But these aren't very needed.

Yup, Uruguay all is very expensive (eg. computer, food, etc.), if you

Well, careful here as you need a *micro* HDMI to VGA, not regular HDMI
(and not mini HDMI either)

power supply, with at least .5 A for headless mode. Alternatively you
may use a miniUSB (mini, not micro) cable.
If you enable the g_ether kernel module and configure the usb0 network
interface you can use a single miniUSB
