This is wrong. Basic Auth never sent basicauth headers inter-node, and
adding the “forwardcredentials” option lets user-originated requests be
forwarded with original basicauth credentials instead of PKI.

It took me a few days to get back to this - the week got away from me and I
wanted to give Jan’s suggestions a decent review.

Thanks, Jan, for those changes. It looks like it’s really one sentence that’s
misleadingly wrong. I hate releasing with known errors like that, but if you
don’t think it’s that big of a problem, I’ll go ahead with the release and fold
your changes into 8.1. Maybe this is a good use for that otherwise unused
Errata page in the PDF.

Thanks everyone who voted, the VOTE has passed and I’ll get started releasing
it.

I noticed a minor grammar issue in the stream-decorator-reference section on
“daemon”, where it explains the “list” command: "along with there current

This is wrong. Basic Auth never sent basicauth headers inter-node, and adding
the “forwardcredentials” option lets user-originated requests be forwarded with
original basicauth credentials instead of PKI.

> Section 7.7 - Admin UI: “On clusters configured to use Kerberos

Is this correct? For Kerberos supported browsers will provide credentials
directly and if unsupported browser or misconfigured krb then the UI will
display an informative message telling the user to configure krb correctly.
Right?

System requirements chapter:

I was sure that SOLR-12809 would make it to the 8.0 guide. If there is a
re-spin, we should perhaps include it?

Else the parts I checked look fine.
