Would be good to get a recording of the talk and maybe some
information about past events and development.

There is no talk, given by us, which can be recorded, but a booth.
(Since Budapest 2010 we haven't given any talk in english and we aren't
sadly able to speak dutch.)

The talks at the booth (in german or english) in the past are nearly the
same as on other events.

- Normal user questions (How can I do this?)
- Questions about the product (What's new?)
- Political questions like What is the difference between AOO and
LibreOffice?, Oh, you are still existing? and Why don't you merge
the projects? etc..

The event itself is important for The Netherlands and a good place to
meet friends of Free Software in The Netherlands and the (german part of
the) northern rhine area. It's exhibition area is manageable, so we
have a good and amicable contact to the other exhibitors.

Michael

there is a gathering for
an OpenOffice community meeting after Rony's talk, at the end of the
conference day on Tuesday.

This sounds good. But is at Tuesday evening not a general committer event?

You are right, I see it listed now at
http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/apachecon-europe/program/schedule

Well, we can still meet after Rony's talk, go together to the reception
and then go out for dinner after it, at 20.30. Tuesday is for sure the
best day for us to meet. The other alternative would be Tuesday at lunch
time, and we can move it if people prefer to meet for lunch.

  Andrea.

Correct. http://apacheconeu2014.sched.org/overview/type/openoffice has
the full schedule. One can also come later than Monday, but the
conference fee remains the same (please note: committers are entitled to
a very significant discount on the conference fee).

The actual conference (with presentations) runs Monday to Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday are reserved for community activities.

Conference information: http://apachecon.eu

  Andrea.
