+1 make check passing on Centos 7, tested both amd64 and ppc64le. I'm going to try on Centos 8 next... One thing I noticed is that the Unix install instructions look outdated with respect to Erlang / Node / Python dependencies though I'm not 100% sure what the supported options are now. Excellent results with the Mac binary both as a fresh installation and on top of a CouchDB 2 installation. Both tests on Mojave and not on Catalina. Re: [VOTE] Release Apache CouchDB 3.0.0 (-rc1)
And here are the Linux binaries for various distros and platforms: https://repo-nightly.couchdb.org/3.0.x/ If we have to cut another RC, these will automatically be re-generated. As a reminder, repo-nightly.couchdb.org is *only* for members of the immediate CouchDB development community. Do not share this link off-list, and especially not with Twitter, Facebook, or on other social media. FYI, these were delayed because of a frequently failing test case: https://github.com/apache/couchdb/issues/2528 and because the Hypothesis version bump broke builds on Ubuntu Xenial, due to too old of a Python 3 (we apparently now require >= 3.5.3.) -Joan "that's quite enough Couch for the month, thanks" Touzet On 2020-02-10 2:36 p.m., Joan Touzet wrote: Here are the Windows binaries: https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/couchdb/binary/win/3.0.0/rc.1/ NOTE: You have to use Notepad (or similar) as Administrator and edit your local.ini file before the service will start correctly. I've got a few minor things planned for the Windows installer to improve on it, including prompting for an admin user on install, but this is functional for now.
