[Question] Why is the project releasing with bugfix-versions?

2020-05-29 Thread Christofer Dutz
Hi, one thing I noticed when trying the release of 0.9.7 was that you are counting the bugfix version up … is there a reason for this? I mean I understand you are hesitant (like us in the PLC4X project) to do the 1.0, but what’s special with the 0.9? Wouldn’t it be possible to do a 0.10.0

If there was such a discussion and decision, it might have been taken before Royale forked from Flex. But it's never too late to talk: should the next release extending features be 0.10.0? Andrew On Fri, May 29, 2020 at 5:31 AM Christofer Dutz wrote: > Hi, > > one thing I noticed when trying

OK I think I can see the issue. The getter for mxmlDocument checks for MXMLDescriptor not being null (in which case assume mxmlDocument is 'this') before mx_internal::addingChild sets it to something else. But if an mxml document (the only one in the ancestry) just has bindings and no simple

Hi all, so instead of just writing things down, I decided to do a video recording of all steps needed to release with maven. Unfortunately I seem to no longer able to run the maven release in the asjs repo ... however I think it's a problem not related to releases, and a more general one. I

Thank you for this narrative, Chris. Helps me understand a lot. Here's a thing you could help me with in the documentation line: when you came to Royale after a long period away from the FlexJS world, what were the elements of Royale that were the least intuitive and the trickiest to figure out?

Hi, 0.10.0 would be actually more accurate since we still are doing many changes. In case we do bugfixes, 0.9.x will the right way to go. So yes, I think that should be improved to have a better version number in releases Thanks Chris for pointing that Carlos El vie., 29 may. 2020 a las
