I have discovered that the hotel puts out early bird coffee starting at
5am. Great for all of us jet-lagged attendees!

Yep, that is where we gathered after the first 2 conference days.

There was a gathering every day!

Sorry I said it wrong! For the first 2 days, we gathered afterward at
aloft. On the third day, I left from the airport, I have no idea if people
gathered there or not!

Speaking of which - have you got hotel covered Manu - I always try to
be economical and am willing to book a room to share. :)

Yup, it is linked on dconf.org too:
http://dconf.org/2014/index.html

The first Google search led me to this one instead:

http://www.aloftsanfranciscoairport.com/

...which was rather confusing as the map put it not at all
where I remembered it to be.

I know that Andrei is now living in the area, and he was the one who
picked Aloft. I'm assuming Andrei's house is likely not the new location
;) Where is the "hot spot" this year going to be? I want to book soon :)

Booked at Aloft, and I'll have a (supposedly 5-seat) car. So I can drive
people across the bridge.

See you all there :)

Yeah, it was definitely worth staying at the Aloft. I had the feeling last
year that it might have been better to make the 'in' spot on the other side
of the bay though... people can potentially walk/ride if it's closer to
town/transport/trains. Aloft was a bit inconvenient for any without cars
and not staying at Aloft.

Afterparty and Andrei's house, every night.

If you want to do the 1h10m commute one way each night... :o)

Aloft is the best candidate for the unofficial hangout spot.
