Hello, I am one in charge of digital modes of my club, (www.radiogruposur.com)
and we will participate next weekend in ILLW, at Jose Ignacio Lighthouse, near
Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Since conditions are not good, I will ask you recomendations of the use of
others digital modes than PSK31
. Many modes work well, and most are BETTER than PSK31, but the problem is
that there are not many hams using the others nodes, So your lighthouse
station may be calling CQ over and over again using a mode that no one
uses. So, I would suggest just four modes. PSK31, PSK63 if the band is in
If using anything other than PSK *please* use RSID if your program supports
it. I was watching a guy calling CQ the other day and he was changing mode
so fast I had no chance to keep up.
I suggest PSK if conditions are OK, then Olivia.
