Very important information, Rein, and thank you for sharing it with the

Jose,
I re-though the question and if 20M is near the MUF,
then there would likely be more multi-path signals
on 40 and 80. But I suppose that you need to define
what near the MUF is in terms for frequency or
percent.

Moreover the biggest channel killer is the Pactor 2/3 QRM, not QRN or noise.

I've never looked at signals on 80/40/20 from that
aspect.

My measurements on 10 Mhz show that MT63 has 20% less errors than PSK63 on
the same channel.
The is not enough to offset the negative points.
Very interesting. It would seem that MT63 would better remain a broadcast
mode like Amtor Mode B or PACTOR FEC.

The most current SCAMP Specification file was Revision Q, dated Feb 1,
2005. It is on the ScampProtocol yahoogroup. That group has been very

Hello Rick,
RR for all!
Pax2 has a speed of 117 wpm for a useful speed of about 50 to 60 wpm in average
after the protocol management...
The timing of Windows/Linux is not so bad that you could not have a moderate
sized window.
Under Linux and DOS, I think a synchronous ARQ mode is possible,
