Has anyone used their Squeezebox with a Krell HTS (Home Theatre
Standard)? I'm considering buying one, but I've read that this
processor has a 2 second delay when decoding through the SPDIF input. I
was wondering if this would be just for the first track, or for all

I've had this happen when I import a CD in iTunes (tags set by
Gracenote), then subsequently selecting all the tracks and adding the
album artwork. In 6.2.2 I tried a clear and full rescan, but the dupes
remain. If I turn off use iTunes for the server, the problem
disappears, but then I can not

When scanning my library, Slimserver always gets stuck on the same
song. Perl pins the CPU at 100% and stays there. Web connectivity on
port 9000 stops.
After enabling debugging, I see in the log it is complaining
about tags. I removed the song and scanning continues until it hits

Well, with help from Netgear support, discovered I can use WEP 64 or 128
bit security and still get a SB connection - you have to input the
digits manually and not generate them using the passphrase utility.
Can also run at 108MBs auto setting, with MAC filtering and SSID
broadcast disabled.
Would Vista's embedded DRM play havoc with music files SlimServer
accesses, I wonder?
I also remember reading about a hardware chip on new motherboards that
enables a hardware DRM lock that Vista will use.

Regular player preferences are keyed by MAC, because as you rightly
point out, IPs can change quite frequently. Where the MAC is
unavailable (because it's on a routed network) I guess it has no choice
but to use IP. I'm not really sure how you'd handle identifying a player
when the MAC is unknown

Well, I found the problem. I should have mentioned that I populate the
SQLite DB myself from an Access DB. I had filled in all the fields I
thought were important.
Two fields in the Tracks table I had not included were FS and Sec
(or is it Secs?). Apparently, these fields need to be non-zero
I was assuming the Treo was coming in from the outside world via GPRS or
something, in which case all you'll have is an IP. However, of course,
if you're on a local network via wireless there surely will be a MAC.

And it looks like that version installs firmware version 33.

It doesn't even know it -has- a clock.
It's just displaying lit and unlit pixels, depending on what the server
sends it... it has no idea what the time is... just that it was told to
display a bunch of bits.
