I can get the SB3 to wake up the PC on lan, it doesn't stay awake and
shuts down
Just noticed the plugin 'keep windows from going into standby while
playing' which appears to be installed. Not sure why it isn't working.

Hi guys,
i wanted to mount a sb2 in my bathroom, and the picture enclosed shows
what i came up with. I designed a new plastic front plate complete with
lens and had it machined up from the cad dwgs that i did by a local
plastics supply company.
i then cut out a suitable hole in the cupboard,

I've been having a problem with music files that get loud near, but not
at, the end (like maybe 30-45 seconds before the end): Slimserver
(6.2.2) ends the song in the middle of that loud part.
Until now I had assumed it was due to some indosyncrasy of my modus
operandi, e.g. some classical music
I just made a little comparison:
MacMini:
- runs Windows, Unix, MacOS
- has a CD drive and HD, rip your music
- has Wireless and Bluetooth and IR remote
- very small footprint
- very low to non-existent noise level
- has a digital out/in, DVI out
- comes for 600 bucks
- no need for any other

In the process of doing some debugging, I started slimserver from the

However, now when slimserver is started as a service, the web interface
is completely blank. Nothing but an empty web page. BUT, if I stop the

It's the web interface that people sometimes complain about, unfairly
IMHO. It could do with a tweak or two but I really don't see why
people slam it so much.
I agree with this. The web interface works well and is easy to use, but I
don't particularly like applications that use web interfaces.
The thumb-wheel gives you variable speed control and precise
scrolling.
I never have the feeling that I need to scroll faster through a list. It
probably means you are using the wrong mechanism to get to where you want to be.
Eg. If I want to go to a specific artist, say Pink Floyd, I will

The spec is higher: Core Duo 1.8ghz and 250gig hard drive compaired to
1.66ghz and 80gig
but still pretty expensive compaired to the Mac Mini

Followed bpa's instructions worked first time on windows version, will
try the linux later. This has added real value to SS and maybe should
be included in future builds.

OPML is a loose standard, and we do indeed only support the URL
attribute at the moment. Looks like xmlUrl is at least somewhat

I wiped out my previous Slim install on my OS X machine and installed
from scratch tonight using the release 6.2.2 software.
No matter what skin I use something is seriously wrong. Intermittently
frames don't show up. I can't browse my library since nothing shows up
there. Very weird stuff

Yep I removed the directores manually from my ~/Library.
You're right about the plugins though -- should have read the messages
more carefully. I disabled all plugins (except Date/Time) and restarted
the server. It seems like the Fishbone skin is the culprit here. The key
messages in the log

But what's wacky is that doing a grep -R ajax.js * from the server
directory returns nothing. I can't even find where that file is
