I think this has been discussed on other threads.
Does mplayer itself work properly? I think the instructions explain how
to run mplayer from the Terminal.
You may need an older version of mplayer. If so, then you may also need
to install an extra library. We should be able to guide you through
Hello SuperQ,
There are a bunch of pre-made squeezebox pronto files on
http://www.remotecentral.com, a couple of them include replacement IR
files for the slimserver that let you map more buttons that don't exist
on the normal squeezebox remote.
I know, but having a custom IR map file is a
OK that works - I may be able to do the SQL I want from here (basically
finding all LP without replay gain)
Cheers all

Hi there,
I've my wireless Squeezebox set up bridging a Kiss V-558 DVD Recorder.
It's looks like that SB won't let the Kiss' identity through the
brigde.
My home network managing program isn't able to discover the Kiss and
register it as a device connected to the network.
Am I doing anything
Dear All,
What is the chance of Slimdevices bundling in some customized version
of the new harmony 1000 remote (a little like The sonos remote) in the
squeezebox/transporter packages?

I tried disabling my virus checker on the server and accessing
slimserver via localhost and it was lightning fast. I reenabled my
virus checker and it still was lightning fast. Unfortunately, I didn't
try the local server before disabling the virus checker so I'm not
convinced it was the problem.

The AutoDisplay plugin should do what you want.
You can set the brightness level for a temporary amount of time.
The Set Brightness Level setting is only in effect during the time you
select.

Merry Christmas to you all! Before the family started opening gifts
this morning I did a little testing.
I opened one of the files that is missing the beginning few samples and
confirmed what it's doing.
This ENTIRE CD plays this way... it was ripped using iTunes AAC @

Auto Dim Display is what you want (is that what someone else said?)
I have it setup to dim ALL devices in the house at 10:30PM and come
back on at 6:00AM, right before the alarm goes off! WORKS GREAT.
I'm not sure where I got it, but you can always search the list for it.

I have it, but it doesn't work for me. Does it matter I have -Player
Settings-Display-Automatic Display Brightness- set to in SlimServer?
(Adjust Brightness Automatically or Adjust Brightness Manually). What
does that setting do, anyway?

Ahh. The latest V0.82 got a typo.
Easy fix and one will be posted soon.
If you cannot wait use the one I have attached.
You should see the AutoDisplay preferences in the player settings
plugin page.

When zapping a song is it possible to copy the song to the Zapped

song rather than skipping to the next one. I just want to add it to a

I bought my parents a new wireless SB3 from Slim Devices and set it up
today. The first thing that struck me as odd was that it complained
that the ethernet was disabled. Strange. I pressed the left arrow and
setup networking and selected wireless setup. It asked me if I wanted

I've never used a wireless SB, but...
Aren't these choices just the SSID's of the various wireless networks

You could always remove the wireless board, but I'm not sure that's
required. Just thought I'd mention it.

Hi,
In SlimServer -Home-Player Settings-Display-, there is an option
called Automatic Display Brightness: with these choices:
- Adjust Brightness Automatically
- Adjust Brightness Manually
What does this mean? If set to automatic, does it mean the brightness

Here is a slightly different spin... your comments or alternatives
appreciated.
I have a pair of underutilized PSB Alpha bookshelf speakers so the need
is for a self contained 2.1 amp and sub to work with the SB3 or iPod,
laptop, etc.
My interest is gravitating towards the Logitech Z-2300
