I'm fairly sure there's no wy of changing the buffering behaviour, but
you should not be hearing glitches between tracks.
First check that crossfade is turned off.
Also confirm that you are not synchronising players.
If neither of these is the case, then there is some sort of problem.

When I search my music by Artists then SlimServer won't show me all
albums the artist is present on, mostly it lets out some - but not all
- samplers. This is strange, as all my files are converted to FLAC and
are ripped and tagged in the same way.

You'll need to give a few more details like what OS you're using ?
If Windows - just stop Slimserver, delete the Slimserver/Server/Cache
folder entirely and then start Slimserver back up.
It sounds to me from the little information you've given like you might
have the setting Group Compilation
I spoke to the author of m3uconv recently - he's taken the program down
for a reason, but is very happy for someone else to make it available

exactly, danco's got it right. sometimes it does it w/o any provocation
from me, ie the player screen goes blank and i run upstairs to see that
slimserver has stopped, other times it seems to have been perhaps
linked to actions via the remote.

squueezebox 3 (SB3) is configured and able to communicate with SS via
wireless network and I am able to stream music to my stereo.
I can control SB3 via SS
Perhaps it's just a typo, but just to make sure.

i would suggest using the newest nightly, it works pretty well for me,
and fixes a lot of my issues.
also, SS does not handle tags well imo, but apparently you can use
mp3tag or similar programs, and if you clean up your own tags (to play
by SS's arbitrary rules) it will work out correctly.

slimserver while at work. I figured that streaming to mplayer or xmms

change. Microwave still kills connectivity. Also concerned about
gonads. Looking for a device to measure leakage from the microwave. I
am not expecting that to be a problem as it is only 1 year old, but ya

Thank you. That's it, absolutely. As soon as I removed my playlists and
did a clean rescan all albums of the artists reappeared in SlimServer.
So it simply is a bug, where playlists crash the search results -
whatever reason that has.
